[06 Nov 2007|11:53pm] people abuse the internet. you can read something online, but when you pick up a piece of paper or a magazine or a book, the words mean so much more than something running on electricity spitting out constant advertisements and flashing lights and giving you once in a lifetime chances to win a new ipod or meet your long lost classmates. you can meet someone in a chat room or through a website, but nothing compares to exchanging real, spoken words and sizing each other up in a busy hallway or a deserted cafe. photoshopped pictures and edited and re-edited profiles and any excuse to use an obsolete abbreviation for three tiny words create a false reality that we're living in, and we love it. the internet is another brand name, and we wear it on our sleeves and drop its name constantly, and use it to prove our superiority to those without some page that tells other people the facts about ourselves we're proud of, instead of the whole truth about who we are. ♥

[30 Sep 2007|12:04pm] and i continue to walk alone and yet accompanied by you i don't feel you there but you hold me so i know it's true and everytime i slip, i fall i learn from my mistakes you help me to walk from a crawl everyday i revert, i lose my mind i wonder how lost i can get how much time can pass before i find i'm just another one in the masses nothing special, nothing defined believing in you is just so hard there's no proof, no nothing at all but yet you're here in things large and things small you're the atoms in my heart and the blue in my eyes i feel you make me happy and you're watching when i cry sometimes the light is so hard to resist but everthing i believe is a contradiction to the idea that you exist ♥

[14 May 2007|02:21am] ( sappy rambling ) & a reflection on my past couple of nights: night lights twisting strange images sparkling sidewalks and introspective curbs tears for no reason and stained skirts bruises, scrapes and burns i can't remember pictures detailing my forgotten adventures walking and running, failing and falling dancing to another building skipping and slurring and sliding a sudden flash of deja vu subtle traces of familiar faces the world is closing in on me cold tile is an escape; a rescue and the damage is undone tomorrow 1 ♥

[22 Apr 2007|11:22pm] Today Damian and Stephen Marley (Bob Marley's sons) played a free concert in Golden Gate Park. Although it was a trek finding the meadow in which they performed, it was worth it. We smoked and danced and listened to music for over 4 hours. There were probably over a thousand people there, and most of them were hippies, complete with dreads and a dog. I truly feel like I live in San Francisco now. ♥

update on my life. [22 Mar 2007|01:40pm] i go to class...sometimes. i occaisonally do homework. i'm passing all my classes and still don't have a job yet. i sleep about 5 hours during the day, and about 5 at night. my room here is just as messy as it was at home. i get money every 2 weeks and spend it in about 3 days, so for 3 weeks out of every month i'm broke. i detest going to the dining center for every meal except breakfast, which is delicious. i have become addicted to noah's bagels. i'm coming home in 15 days. 10 ♥
